TO THE BIBLE: Romans 8:11
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
In the Old Testament, God said to the people, “…the life of the flesh is in the blood….” (Leviticus 17:11). That’s true for every natural human being, but for you who are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, it’s different! What keeps you going is much more than the blood in your body.
In the scripture above, the words “give life” also mean “to vitalise” and “to rejuvenate.” Thus, it’s the Holy Spirit who rejuvenates and vitalises you, not the blood flowing in your veins. This Holy Spirit was the One who incubated on the body of Jesus after He was crucified and buried, and raised Him from the dead. That same Spirit lives in you today, giving life to your physical body. This means no sickness, disease, or infirmity should stay in your body.
The Bible says, “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself” (John 5:26). You have in you the resurrection-life of Jesus, which is the God-kind of life. If you ever find anything wrong in your body, you don’t need to be worried or scared. Just stir up the power of that life-giving Spirit within you through your words of faith, and command the problem to go.
I’m not ordinary; I’ve got the life of God in me. No sickness or disease can fasten itself to my body, because I’m inundated with the life of Christ. Greater is He that’s in me, than he who’s in the world. I’m divinely strengthened and rejuvenated, in Jesus’ Name!
Meditate on today’s scripture (Romans 8:11) and let the Holy Spirit minister to you as you do.
