TO THE BIBLE Romans 8:1-2;
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
LET’S TALK
There’s an operative principle in Christ, and it does more than bringing someone out of sin. This law of the Spirit affects your mind, your body, and everything you do, such that everything about your life just keeps growing, multiplying, and blazing. This life law only works for those who are born again. Those who are without Christ are subject to the spiritual law of sin and death on which Moses’ law was based.
Whereas the law of the Spirit of life produces life in, and for everyone who’s in Christ Jesus, the law of sin and death produces corruption, scorn, bondage and death for, and in those who live without Christ in the world. Such people are without hope. But blessed be God! We’ve been born again, according to God’s abundant mercy into a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3), and the law of the Spirit of life is at work in us.
From the time Christ rose from the dead, God stopped counting men’s sins against them (2 Corinthians 5:17-20). This doesn’t just apply to the Church, but to the whole world! Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world! God is no longer angry at anyone; what He’s saying now is “Come and enjoy the life in Christ!”
Once you accept that invitation and receive Christ, automatically, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus starts functioning in you. You have eternal life and the very nature of God in your spirit. Now, you can serve the Lord truly, and live by the principle of eternal life.
