YOU’RE HIGHER AND ABOVE ;
(Live The Extraordinary Life)
? Pastor Chris
? TO THE BIBLE
Genesis 5:24 MSG “Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him.”
◀ LET’S TALK
This portion of Scripture always seemed like a fairy tale to Leo whenever he read it, even though he knew it wasn’t fiction at all. The spectacle of it always struck him, and many times he had actually imagined Enoch caught away into the heavens.
Unlike the ordinary human person, Enoch didn’t die. He lived above death. How did it happen? The Bible says, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God” (Hebrews 11:5). Enoch was a man of faith, and it was recorded that he pleased God.
You can live such a life as well, and you don’t have to struggle to do so. You only need to walk with the Holy Spirit in steady fellowship, because He’s the one who empowers you to live the life that pleases God. When you commit yourself to a vibrant relationship with the Holy Spirit, He’ll do extraordinary things through you, and you’ll live a life higher-and-above death.
Death isn’t just the cessation of biological life. Defeat, lack, sickness, failure and destruction also represent death; they work against people to destroy their lives. But you’re invulnerable to all these, because you’re connected to God. So, let your fellowship with Him be the most valuable thing to you.
