TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT
“Or don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”
Your body is your house, and you’re its custodian. God gave it to you so you could function in the earth. You’re responsible for your body’s health. If sickness, disease, or any evil attacks your body, you can do something about it, because God gave you the authority to protect and preserve it.
Many people get sick because they don’t take care of their bodies. Even after getting healed, many go back to the same unhygienic practices that made them sick in the first place. And so what happens? They get sick again! It’s really important that you learn to keep your body healthy and strong by observing proper hygiene, eating healthy foods, exercising regularly, and keeping your clothes and environment clean.
Remember, the responsibility to keep your body healthy is yours, not God’s. Jesus has already done all He needs to do about your physical health, so He expects you to be healthy and strong. Find out more about the things you should know and do to keep your body healthy, so you can serve God well.
