YOU NEVER WALK ALONE
(Relax: God’s Got You Covered)
TO THE BIBLE Matthew 8:24-26 CEV
“A terrible storm suddenly struck the lake, and waves started splashing into their boat. Jesus was sound asleep, so the disciples went over to him and woke him up. They said, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” But Jesus replied, “Why are you so afraid? You surely don’t have much faith.” Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down. And everything was calm.”
LET’S TALK
Maurice was on a bus ride to go watch the finals of the college basketball competition with some colleagues. On the way, their bus suddenly developed a mechanical fault and swerved uncontrollably. While every other person panicked and screamed, Maurice remained calm and began to speak in tongues. Shortly afterward, the bus came to a halt. His friends asked why he was so calm during their short ordeal, and he responded: “The one who’s born again never walks alone; Christ is always with me so I’m never afraid.” How true!
This brings to mind Paul’s experience in Acts 27. He was on a voyage to Rome as a prisoner when the journey suddenly got dangerous. While the other passengers were terrified that they would all lose their lives, Paul spoke up and reassured them of their safety. He said, “…I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship” (Acts 27:22). What confidence!
Like Apostle Paul and Maurice, you must be confident of who’s got your back as a child of God. Understand that the Lord Himself is with you in your journey through life. He said, “…I will be with you always, even until the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). Even when danger looms, don’t be ruffled, because the Greater One is with you. By reason of His presence with you, no danger or storm of life can knock you out; you’ll surely come out of it unscathed.

Romans 8:31
God’s Everlasting Love
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Hebrews 13:5-6
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He, Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So we may boldly say:
“The LORD is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Pray
Dear Father, I thank you for perfecting all that concerns me, and giving me a life of victory through the Word. My life is for your glory and praise, as I live to fulfill your divine purpose for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
