YOU CAN’T BE SWALLOWED UP – Sunday, February 12th

(The Lord Is For You And On Your Side!)

TO THE BIBLE: Psalm 124:1-3 TLB
“If the Lord had not been on our side (let all Israel admit it), if the Lord had not been on our side, we would have been swallowed alive by our enemies, destroyed by their anger.”

LET’S TALK
The Lord can solve whatever challenges you may be facing right now, no matter how difficult they seem. Maybe you’re experiencing a problem with your studies in school, and you “feel” swallowed up. Or perhaps, you feel confused, not knowing what to do about that nagging situation in your family. It’s as if the devil has gotten hold of you and has you drowning. Don’t despair! The Lord is with you to bring you out of that trouble.

The Bible says, “The LORD’s people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through” (Psalm 34:19 CEV). All you have to do is to put your trust in God. Don’t give up. God has made a way of escape for you, and you’re coming out on top of that situation.

Ordinarily, problems could swallow you, but God’s presence with you makes it impossible. God says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isaiah 43:2). This is God’s solemn vow to you. This should give you great confidence and assurance that He’ll never allow anyone or anything swallow you up (Psalm 124:1-8). He’s strong and on your side to help you and bring you out today.
