YOU’RE A PLUS!
(You Add Value To Others)
A Christian is one who’s filled with the spirit of excellence from God; everywhere he shows up, that excellence is manifested.
To The Bible Proverbs 11:25 TLB
“Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself.”
LET’S TALK
There are basically two kinds of people in the world: those who add value and those who don’t. The one who adds value brings out the good in everyone and everything, and you don’t want him to leave: He’s like a breath of fresh air; things don’t get damaged around him; he never uses bad language; he’s the kind guy who’s always looking out for someone to help, and God’s Kingdom is always uppermost on his mind. Such a person is a plus anywhere he goes.
This is quite unlike the other guy who’s got a critical spirit. When he comes around, he sours an otherwise cheerful atmosphere. He picks a fight and might even break furniture. You see, it takes someone with an excellent spirit to add value to people, things and life in general. Daniel was described as a young man with an excellent spirit (Daniel 6:3), and as a result, he was preferred above the presidents and princes.
You’ve been endowed with that excellent spirit, because you’re born again. You’re the one who adds value to everyone and everything you’re involved with. Wherever you are–at home, in school, or in church–you add value. Why? God has imparted to you His excellent spirit, so you no longer work with your ability but with His ability and grace. You’re a plus, not a minus, and everyone who comes in contact with you will see it and give glory to God!
