(Your Recreated Human Spirit Has A Joyful Nature)
You can stir up joy by making melodies and singing new songs from your spirit to the Lord.
TO THE BIBLE ISAIAH 12:3 NIV
“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”
Joy is an emotion evoked by satisfaction, appreciation, and pleasure, and it’s a feature of the recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22). The moment you were born again, you were brought into a life of unending joy, and it’s the nature of your spirit to be joyful at all times. The Bible says in Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
The joy you have is not of this world, but of God. 1 Peter 1:8 describes it as “…joy inexpressible and full of glory.” It comes from your inner man, and it transcends and is independent of physical circumstances. The Bible says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones” (Proverbs 17:22); this joy is permanent and will keep you healthy and vibrant.
You can stir up such glorious, inexpressible joy from your spirit by making melodies and singing new songs to the Lord. The Lord delights to hear your joyful praise. Nehemiah 8:10 says “…the joy of the LORD is your strength.” God wants you to be joyful always and let the joy from your spirit permeate your environment. That atmosphere of joy is what you need for the miraculous. So maintain a joyful and happy spirit always.
Dear Father, I thank you for filling my heart with joy unspeakable, and full of glory. I live joyfully today, knowing that you’re my God, and you delight in me, rejoicing over me daily with singing. Your joy in my spirit is my strength! Thus, I live victoriously every day as I continually maintain a joyful spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Stir up joy from within; sing songs of praise and make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all by yourself!
