UNTIL THERE’S A CHANGE
(Refuse To Cower Or Give Up On Prayer)
? Pastor Chris
? TO THE BIBLE
Luke 18:1 AMP C “Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).”
◀️ LET’S TALK
“We are going to pray now for the salvation of our family members…,” the Pastor instructed during the church meeting, but at the back of Henry’s mind arose some doubts as he prayed. “Haven’t you prayed about this several times already? Your proud Uncle has been an unbeliever for years, and prayer doesn’t do a thing for him; so, just stop!” At that thought, Henry intensified his prayers to drown out the thoughts attacking his mind and kept on praying till the meeting was over. Getting home, he received news that his Uncle would have lost his life in a ghastly accident but was unhurt, and that the experience had humbled his heart to pray the prayer of salvation and be born again!
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing”; that means continue in prayer until there’s a change. Some Christians give up too quickly; but faith never gives up. Remember what happened with the Apostles in Acts 12, when Herod arrested Peter, having killed James. He purposed to do the same with Peter, but the Bible says “…constant prayer was offered to God for him (Peter) by the church” (Acts 12:5). The Apostles made intense petitions and gave God all the reasons Peter’s life should be spared; they continued in prayer until he was miraculously delivered.
Christianity is for the tough-minded. Being a Christian isn’t a guarantee that the devil will not put you to test or a promise that you’ll not face challenges. Rather, it prepares you for such times, such that whenever the devil shows up, you know exactly what to do; you use the Name of Jesus. So, when you’re faced with unpleasant situations, simply apply your faith by praying in the Name of Jesus. Whatever changes you desire in your life, health, family or academics, don’t give up; continually make your petitions known to your heavenly Father in prayers for answers. Pray fervently with the Word until you have the note of victory in your spirit.

? Pray
Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to effect positive and lasting changes through prayer. I remain steadfast, therefore, not staggering in the face of contrary circumstances, but upholding my victory in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
