(The Lord Will NEVER Fail Or Give Up On You) ;
TO THE BIBLE Hebrews 13:5 AMPC ;
“…He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]”
LET’S TALK
Jesus is totally committed to you, no matter what you’ve done in the past. This may be difficult for some to accept because of the guilt they feel about certain things in their lives, but it’s true nonetheless. Peter felt guilty after he denied Jesus, and his guilt almost destroyed him. When Jesus had told him that he would deny Him three times, Peter responded thus: “Not even if I have to die with you! I’ll never deny you!” (Mark 14:31 TLB).
Well, Peter did deny Jesus—he did so three times—though he later felt so terrible about it. He almost couldn’t forgive himself. However, when Jesus arose from the dead, the angel in front of the empty tomb said to the women who came there, “…Give this message to his disciples including Peter: “Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there…” (Mark 16:7 TLB). The Lord knew Peter was weighed down with guilt, so He had to let him know that he was still loved. Just imagine Peter’s joy when he got the news. He realised he had been forgiven unconditionally.
I encourage you today not to give up on yourself, because the Lord Jesus will never give up on you. He can turn every mistake of yours into something beautiful. He made Simon, an unstable person, become Apostle Peter the rock; He surely knows what to do with your life; so trust Him to make something beautiful out of it.
GO DEEPER
Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1Timothy 1:12-16
Glory to God for His Grace
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an [a]insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for the great love you have for me. I’m grateful for your commitment towards me and your faith in me. Because you believe in me, I believe in myself, and I commit to serving you with whole- hearted devotion all my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
