Do Away With The Wrong Pictures
TO THE BIBLE: Mark 9:23 NASB
“And Jesus said to him, ““If You can?” All things are possible to him who believes.””
LET’S TALK
There was a certain man in the Bible named Jairus whose daughter was sick to the point of death. He felt so troubled, but someone advised he got Jesus’ attention, which he did. While they were on their way to Jairus’ house, he got news that his daughter had passed away, and that he shouldn’t bother the Master anymore.
Jesus overheard those talking to Jairus and said to him, “…Do not be afraid; only believe” (Mark 5:36). In other words, He was basically telling Jairus to stop the fear and refuse to accept the wrong picture of his daughter dead.
He’s saying the same thing to you today. Maybe you’ve been wondering what to do about a certain problem that seems to have no solution; refuse to fear or be overwhelmed by the situation. Do away with the wrong picture and embrace the picture of a positive outcome. Hold your head up high and declare, “I’m a victor in Christ Jesus!” Refuse to let your heart be troubled, and don’t let unbelief, fear and doubt get the better of you. Instead keep proclaiming in faith that you’re more than a conqueror, and you’ll surely come out victorious!
