TO THE BIBLE: Romans 12:2

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

LET’S TALK

Some Christians think their problems come from the devil, or because there’s sin in their lives, or the weakness of their flesh. The truth is, Satan isn’t a factor, because he’s been defeated. Sin isn’t the problem, because Romans 6:14 declares that, “…sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” The fleshly nature isn’t the reason for their problems either, because it was crucified with Christ, together with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24).

The real problem with some of God’s children is their carnal minds and the way they think. They’re not suffering because there’s so much poverty, sicknesses, or evil in the world, but because they’re not thinking in line with God’s Word. When one doesn’t think right, he can’t live tight. This is the reason you must renew your mind with God’s Word. Apostle Paul said, “To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6 RSV).

To function like God, you’ll have to think like Him! Your thinking should be based on His perspective, which you see in His Word. Until you raise your thinking to His level-the level at which He sees you-and call yourself what He calls you, life will be difficult. Your peace, prosperity, courage, strength, success and victory in life become assured when you learn to think like the King’s kid that you are.

Pray

Dear Father, your Word shows me who I am and what belongs to me in Christ Jesus. As I study your Word, my mind is renewed and my thinking elevated to God’s thinking, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Act

Renew your thoughts by saying these words and meditating on these scriptures:

1. “I’m always victorious in Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:14).
2. “The Lord provides for me and my family everyday”

(Psalm 23:1).

3. “God is with me everywhere I am” (Hebrews 13:5-6).
