TO THE BIBLE: Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”
LET’S TALK
As a young person, you must learn to prioritise your time and be sensitive to do the right thing at the right time. We see the value of this in John 12:1-8 where Mary rubbed Jesus’ feet with her expensive perfumed ointment and cleaned them with her hair. When the people around questioned her action, Jesus made it known to them that she had done it just in time for His burial.
Later on, after Jesus was crucified and buried, some other women wanted to anoint His body, but even though they got to His tomb very early that morning, they missed the opportunity, because Jesus had resurrected. Mary, however, had listened to the Spirit and gone ahead to anoint Jesus before His death and burial. The other ladies may have had the same prompting to anoint the Master before His death, but they didn’t do it on time and never got another opportunity to do so.
There’s a right time to do things. Learn to hear from God, respond quickly to His leading, and do the right thing at the right time.
