(You Have The Spirit Of Love, Power And A Sound Mind)
TO THE BIBLE – 2 Timothy 1:7 AMPC
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”
LET’S TALK
Isn’t this scripture just amazing? It says God has given you a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind. This means you have an excellent mind; you’re supernaturally intelligent. You belong to God’s “super-intelligentsia,” because your mind is anointed by the Holy Spirit. As a result, when you speak, the wisdom of God should be heard in your words.
Not many people may tell you that you’ve got a sound mind, if you didn’t do something that seemed extraordinary. God, however, says you’ve got a sound mind. That’s the way He sees you, irrespective of your perceived shortcomings. You should, then, see yourself in the same light and declare accordingly. Say this out loud right now, “I’m sound, because the Holy Spirit lives in me; I belong to God’s super-intelligentsia.”
Don’t wait for anybody to say this about you. God already said it; therefore, act on His Word. Every morning, before you set out for the day, declare to yourself, “I’m the most intelligent student in my class; I’m the best in my school, because I’m the cream of God’s creation,” and keep thinking and talking that way, till it becomes a part of your everyday thought-pattern and process.
