(Receive Your Inheritance)

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 20:32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
◀️ LET’S TALK
The latter part of our opening verse above says the Word is able to “give you” an inheritance among them that are sanctified. But why would the Spirit of God say this to Christians who already have an inheritance in Christ Jesus? The reason for this is clear: First, Apostle Paul wasn’t talking about the ownership of the inheritance, but that the inheritance would literally be delivered into your hands. Yes, legally, all things are yours in Christ Jesus right now, but there’re some rebel holders-of-authority—satan and his cohorts—who’ll often try to sway you from taking and enjoying your inheritance.
Now, Paul, by the Spirit, declares that God’s Word is able to literally deliver your inheritance into your hands, to enjoy, irrespective of the activities of the adversary. This should cause you to do a dance because it simply means your prosperity and blessings aren’t dependent on whether or not your earthly parents are wealthy. In Christ, you have obtained an inheritance (Colossians 1:12).
Another beautiful thing to note is that the Spirit didn’t say the Word will assign an inheritance to you, but that it’ll “deliver” the inheritance to you. In other words, as you meditate on and declare God’s Word, the blessings of the Word manifest and become evident in your life! The inheritance is literally brought to your doorstep! No wonder the Bible says, “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all” (1 Timothy 4:15). Hallelujah!

The glory in the Word and the righteousness thereof are manifest and evident in my life. My faith is alive and producing results as I put the Word to work. The Word of God in my mouth causes circumstances to align with God’s perfect will for me, delivering to me every blessing that’s ordained for me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
