LET’S TALK
Some people have experienced one mishap or the other just because they didn’t respond to God’s Spirit when He tried to warn them about an event, a step they were about to take or a decision they were about to make. They ignored His voice, because they hadn’t yet trained their spirits to recognise His voice.
Learning to respond quickly to the instructions of the Holy Spirit is a key training for your human spirit. When the Spirit of God tells you to do something or gives you an instruction, don’t ignore it or feel it’s not important; respond immediately! For example, there may be certain people the Spirit of God doesn’t want you to be friends with, and then He tells you to stop hanging out with them. Instead of trying to figure out why you should quit your friendship with them, respond quickly and do what He said.
What you have to do is consciously train your spirit to recognise His voice, and you can do this by meditating on His Word. He can be trusted. The more you train yourself to respond quickly to His voice, the better you’ll be able to hear Him in the time of crisis, receive direction on what to do, and avoid trouble.

Thank you Father for teaching me the importance of training my spirit to recognise your voice; and any time I hear your instructions, I respond to them quickly, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
