Opinions of men shouldn’t be your motivation in life. In all that you do, please the Lord and live up to the expectations He has of you.

To The Bible Acts 13:22

“And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’”

LET’S TALK

Reading today’s Scripture, you can quickly tell from God’s testimony of David what He considers most important in a man’s life–doing His will. What matters to God is that you do what He wants you to do, every time and in all situations.

Many young people today think that being famous and having everything money can buy is all there is to life; that’s not true. This shouldn’t be your mind-set. You must understand that what matters most to God is your commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is His will for each one of His children; for life is empty without Christ.

The Apostle Paul understood this when he said: “…I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry” (1 Timothy 1:12).

As a young person who aspires to be great, successful, and influential, understand that success isn’t about pleasing your friends or fitting in with the crowd; it’s about discovering what God wants you to do and going ahead to do it. Your daily desire should be to bring out God’s best in you. So, as you live your life each day, let your aim be to please the Lord and fulfill His purpose for your life. You’ll certainly heap success upon success and ultimately have the testimony that you pleased the Lord.

2. Would the Lord be pleased with me if I do this?

3. Does it favour the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ?
