TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
LET’S TALK
When I started reaching out with the Gospel and organizing crusades as a teenager, I faced different kinds of challenges. For instance, my parents, even though they were Christians, were initially uncomfortable with the way and manner I went about preaching. It was all strange to them.
In addition, I had the challenge of putting my academics alongside my evangelism. During the holidays, I would go out organizing outreaches in different villages and communities. Nonetheless, I excelled in all my schoolwork. The Holy Spirit was the secret of my success, and He still is today.
If you have a dream that God put in your heart, understand that challenges will certainly come your way, but don’t be disheartened by them. Only yield yourself to the Holy Spirit, for He’s your helper. While you deal with the challenges, focus on your dream. Nurture it and never allow it to slip away. The pressure of appropriating your time rightly and dealing with some initial trials may occur, but don’t let them steal away your dream.
