TO THE BIBLE: Proverbs 29:18 KJV
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
It’s sad to see some young people in this generation drifting aimlessly along; living without the knowledge of who they are or what they can do with their lives. And the reason they’re living below their God-ordained destinies isn’t farfetched—they have no vision!
The Amplified translation of Proverbs 29:18 says: “Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish….” You see, to have a vision that gives you focus and direction in life, it must come from the Holy Spirit. It’s the Spirit of God that grants your spirit revelation-knowledge that brings light to your path. He guides your choices and decisions in life. Anyone who doesn’t know the Holy Spirit will drift through life, but thank God you know Him and He lives in you.
Since you have the Revealer of all things in you, you’re sure of your tomorrow. He equips you with relevant information for your life; He shows you everything, even the deep secrets of God (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). Therefore, become even more acquainted with the Holy Spirit. With Him leading and directing you, you can never go adrift or miss your way in life.
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit who reveals all things to me. I look away from all that can distract me from your vision, and I keep my focus on you alone, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
