LOVE’S DIMENSIONS ; HOW FAR , WIDE , HIGH AND DEEP IS YOUR LOVE?
TO THE BIBLE; Ephesians 3:17-19
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Peter once asked Jesus, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21-22). Do the math yourself; this equals four hundred and ninety times! Just imagine that someone offends you this many times in one day; well, the Lord says forgive them every single time!
You’re probably thinking, “Wow, that would take some doing!” Not when you’re walking in God’s kind of love. Ephesians 3:17-19 shows us four dimensions of God’s love: “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the WIDTH and LENGTH and DEPTH and HEIGHT to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
How far can your love go? Can it forgive the worst offence? Can it pursue the worst of sinners and win them with humility and patience? Can it go after the worst failures? Can it be stretched limitlessly?
Love never gives up. It’s not easily provoked, nor does it take into account the offences of others. It forgives as many times as it’s provoked. It knows no limits. No wonder Paul had to pray that God’s people would comprehend the boundless, immeasurable, intimately infinite, and unconditional love of God. That revelation will change your life forever, and give you extraordinary boldness and confidence in life.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.
1 Corinthians 13:4 GNB
Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;
Christ dwells in my heart by faith; I’m rooted and grounded in love, and able to comprehend the boundless, immeasurable, intimately infinite, and unconditional love of God. Thus, I’m filled with all the fulness of God! Hallelujah!
