YOUR HEART HEARS GOD
(Listen Carefully To God’s Advice With Your Spirit)

“Here I am !” replied the young Samuel and rushed to the Priest (Priest) Eli, thinking that he had called him. However, it was not Eli who called Samuel, but it was the Lord Himself, and he did so three times. Eli knew it and, smiling to himself, he counseled the young aspiring prophet to answer, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” The next time he heard the voice calling him (1 Samuel 3: 1-10).
If, like young Samuel, you were not trained to recognize the voice of the Lord, he might be present in a place, talking to you, and you would not even know it! This once happened to Jacob: he did not realize that he had been in the presence of God until he dreamed and saw angels ascending and descending from heaven. It still happens today. Sometimes during worship we may say, “The Lord is in this place,” and some people look around for a sign.
spectacular – like a strong wind, smoke or fire – as proof of His presence. However, the Lord does not always announce Himself in this way.

Think about it. The prophet Elijah once expected God to manifest himself in a spectacular wind, earthquake, or fire, as he did with Moses (Exodus 19: 9-20). Instead, He came with a quiet little voice (1 Kings 19: 9-13). This is typically the way the Lord leads us today by his Word and by the Holy Spirit; It guides you from within, in your mind. Proverbs 20:27 says, “The breath of man is a lamp of the Lord; It penetrates to the depths of the bowels “. This is where the light of God is, it is from there that He guides you.
God doesn’t lead anyone through the senses, so don’t expect a spectacular “feel” or goosebumps; the Word of God in your mind is all you need. Listen to His voice during your daily activities; Hear Him in your mind, for He speaks His Word to your heart.

I am always responsive to the guidance of the Spirit of God, for I am fully subject to His Word. I bless the Lord at all times, for His wisdom and guidance are in my mind, and His light guides me on the path of life! Glory to His Name forever!
