BEAM YOUR LIGHT
(Let Your Light Shine Forth)
TO THE BIBLE Matthew 5:16
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
LET’S TALK ➡
Joseph, the son of Jacob, was sold into slavery by his brothers because they were jealous of him and his dreams. As a slave in a foreign land, he was wrongly accused and thrown in prison. Yet, he shone so brightly in the midst of all those difficult times and eventually rose to become the prime minister in that foreign country.
In Matthew 5:16, Jesus unveils an important success principle; He tells us something about promotion and recognition, and how they come. He said let your light so shine, before men—all men—that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Notice He didn’t say “Let your voice be so loud.” Rather, He says, “Let your light so shine before men”; that’s your mandate! You’re to shine everywhere; in your family, church, school, neighborhood—everywhere! You’re to win and make progress always, no matter the circumstances of your life.
When you let your light shine before all, the inevitable result is that through you, many others would be impacted and greatly improved, such that it would be difficult for you to be unnoticed or unrewarded. As the Father is glorified in Heaven, He ensures that you’re promoted (Psalm 75:6). Yours is to do what’s right by Him and not be a man-pleaser, and it won’t be long before you’re catapulted to higher dimensions of greatness and prosperity

Psalm 139:14
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Pray?
Dear Father, I give you praise and glory for making me a light to my world. I serve you with my life and express my significance in the world to the praise and glory of your majesty, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
