(He Still Performs Miracles Today!)
TO THE BIBLE: John 8:31
“After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased.”
I want you to notice the operative words in this above portion of Scripture. First, it says a great multitude followed Jesus and then we’re told the reason they were attracted to Him was as a result of the miracles they had seen Him perform. This is exactly the same thing happening today! Jesus is alive! He still performs miracles even today. Because of this, great multitudes are attracted to Him. Christianity without the demonstration of the miraculous is another dead religion. The world needs to know that Jesus is alive and He has the power to solve their problems and satisfy their every need.
In Port Harcourt Nigeria, our ministry organised a healing outreach where a record number of well over 2.5 million people gathered to meet with Jesus in a single service. The records of attendance at our outreach meetings are always staggering. The reason many people throng our meetings is the same reason they were attracted to Jesus back in Bible days. As they see the power of God demonstrated in our crusades and services, their faith is stirred up and their hearts are won to the Lord.
It’s our responsibility as Christians to prove that He’s still alive, and our only proof is when a miracle happens in His Name. And these miracles must not take place in a corner, but publicly and openly for the world to see. We shouldn’t be apologetic for this; we must never play down or allow others to play down on the importance of miracles!
Revelation 1:8; Acts 1:3
Lord Jesus, I worship you for evidently manifesting yourself to be alive and the same yesterday, today and forever through the miracles wrought in our midst by the power of your Name! You’re the all-powerful and ever-living God whose presence and power is ever so tangible! Thank you for your grace in my life.
