(Be Determined To Show Love Always)

TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
LET’S TALK
As a child of God, you were born with God’s nature of love. However, the fact that you were born with this nature of love doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll walk in love. A child born among cripples may not know he can walk until someone shows him how to. In the same vein, though you have love in you as a Christian, you first have to know you do, and then learn to walk in it.
Every day, our love-nature is tested by difficult people or circumstances that try to make us act contrary to our real nature. There may even be times when, out of fear, you’re tempted to lie against a friend, so you can escape trouble or punishment. That’s when you ought to be bold and determined to walk in love, and you’ll gain the victory. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18).
When you walk in love, you’ll only see the best in others, because love is the purity of God. Love only sees the good in others, not because love is naive, but because it has the power to change them for good. Walking in love is a high place in God; that’s why you must be determined to walk in love at all times.
