LOOK AND LIVE
(Use The Mirror Principle Of The Word)
God’s Word is God’s mirror. When you look into it, you become what you see.
To the Bible James 1:25
“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
LET’S TALK
You were created to function just like your heavenly Father. You might ask, “How’s that possible?” It’s by the mirror principle of the Word! God has given you His Word in order to make you His Word. Put differently, when you see yourself as God’s Word describes you, you’re meant to act accordingly, because that Word has the very mechanism to transform you into what it talks about when you accept it.
For instance, the Word of God says you’re bold and you’ve got a sound mind (1 Timothy 1:7). That is God’s image and perception of you. You’re supposed to endorse this truth by acting accordingly. If you don’t, the Bible says you’re like a guy who sees himself in a mirror, turns around and forgets what he looks like.
Understand this: the way to enjoy your inheritance in Christ is to function according to what He says about you in His Word. It’s the key to walking in the reality of His manifold blessings. As you listen to the Word or study the Bible, I encourage you to yield yourself to it and let it transform you into the same glory you see. This is what it means to look and live.
