GOD’S VALUE OF A SOUL;
(Heaven Rejoices Over The Salvation Of One Soul)
TO THE BIBLE Luke 15:7 MSG
“Count on it–there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue.”
LET’S TALK
There are Christians who would rather be known as great artists, speakers, fashionistas, athletes, scholars, politicians, scientists, educationists, activists, etc., but not as “great soul-winners.” However, when we all stand before the Master, He won’t ask for the accolades men heaped on us while we were on earth. Rather, He’ll be interested in what we did with the Gospel for the salvation of souls.
There’re others who strive throughout their lives to be famous and gain human recognition, but such things don’t last, neither do they count with God. Don’t be a Christian who gives so much time and attention to things that aren’t important to the Lord. Psalm 103:15-16 says of man that “…his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.”
But guess what the price tag on that soul is? The precious blood of God’s Son, Jesus! This is why every soul on earth is valuable to God. This also explains why God has given us the responsibility of reaching out to others with the message of salvation; this is our calling and our purpose for being here on earth. So, no matter what your vocation is, let soul-winning be your top priority in everything and everywhere you find yourself.

The Parable of the Lost Coin
8 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?
9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’
10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Pray
Dear Father, thank you for loving me and demonstrating your value for me by the price you paid for my salvation-the death of your Son, Jesus Christ on the cross. I see others through your eyes of love and value, and reach out to them with the good news of salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
