TO THE BIBLE: 1 Peter 2:9 AMP
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
I love this inspiring verse of Scripture in 1 Peter 2:9. It says you’re chosen, royal, and special. This is a present-hour reality. In Christ Jesus, there’s neither black nor white; there’s only one race—the chosen race—and you’re included! You’re God’s peculiar treasure, His royal and chosen breed, called to manifest His righteousness and express His beauty, excellence and wisdom.
You’re more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37); you’re from the lineage of champions and victors. You’re superior to satan. You’re a saint of God, and part of your calling is to execute judgment on satan and the cohorts of darkness (Psalm 149:5-9). That’s what the Bible says about you! When you recognise these realities about who you are, you can’t but consider yourself special and privileged of God. Never allow anyone make you think less of yourself, because you’re God’s dream come true.
In the Old Testament, the Lord said to them, “…If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people…And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation…” (Exodus 19:5-6). Now, you’re God’s dream fulfilled, and you didn’t have to qualify for it. You didn’t beg for it or do anything by yourself to earn it; the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ conferred it on you. Walk in the consciousness of this reality today!
I’m a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar creation, called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, to display the excellence and perfections of divinity! This is my heritage, and my righteousness is of Him, who has made me more than a conqueror, and an associate of the God-kind! Glory to His Name forever!
