LET’S MEET IN COURT
(God Wants To Hear Your Case)
TO THE BIBLE Hebrews 13:5-6
“…He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?””
LET’S TALK
“Dad, if the judge knows the law and has the evidence for the case before him, why is a defendant made to speak or be spoken for by his lawyer?” Frank asked his father as they stepped out of the court. His dad, smiling, responded, “The law can hold a man guilty as well as free him from an accusation. But before judgment is passed, the judge must determine whether the defendant and his lawyer know, or are ignorant of the contents of the law, which might be an advantage or a disadvantage to them.”
This legal picture is similar to what is portrayed in our opening verse—an invitation from God for you to bring His words to Him. The King James translation says, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified” (Isaiah 43:26 KJV). Why would God ask to be reminded of His own words? Does He forget? No! What He means is for you to put Him in remembrance of what He has said concerning the case you’re dealing with by speaking His Word! This is actually an invitation from God for you to bring His words to Him. These are the statements of fact, promises, and declarations He’s made concerning you or the circumstance or situation you want to be changed.
This, therefore, implies that in pleading your case before God, you pray the Word! That doesn’t mean you merely say, “Oh Lord, I pray according to Your Word…!” Rather, you speak His Word back to Him and present relevant scriptures as the basis for which you’re demanding the miracle you desire. Whatever the situation is, present your case in a legal form! Present God’s Word to Him as your petition, and you shall without a doubt receive your miracle!

PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for teaching me today how to plead my case before you in prayer and turn hopeless situations around for my good. I’m so grateful and I rejoice exceedingly to know that when I pray according to Your Word, you hear and grant my requests, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
