YOU’RE AN ABLE MINISTER
(Be Stirred To Share The Gospel Because You Can!)
TO THE BIBLE: 2 Corinthians 3:6 NIV
“He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
God has made you a competent minister of reconciliation, and there should be no discouragement in this world strong enough to stop you from preaching the Gospel. You should be able to open your mouth and declare His Word of salvation boldly anywhere you find yourself. Let those you come in contact with know that God isn’t mad at them, and that they can now embrace life through the Gospel.
The Prophet Joel, in the Old Testament, foretold what would happen in the lives of God’s people when they receive the Holy Spirit. He said, “…your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” (Joel 2:28). Notice he didn’t say they shall be quiet, but that they shall prophesy, i.e., speak words of power. You see, this is one of the many signs that you’ve received the Holy Spirit. You become passionate about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and you preach it with boldness, because it’s like fire shut up in your bones.
Maybe you’re experiencing some persecution for preaching the Gospel, and right now, you feel like giving up. No, don’t be discouraged, and don’t stop preaching! When Jeremiah preached the Word of God, he was severely persecuted and even thrown in prison for all his trouble. But in spite of the pressure and temptation to give up, he exclaimed “…I said, “I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.” (Jeremiah 20:9). So don’t give up or give in; refuse to be quiet. Let the fire of the Gospel spread from you to everyone in your world!
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word in my heart is as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I’ll preach it everywhere I go. My words are anointed to produce life for everyone who listens, to the glory and praise of the Father, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Preach the gospel to someone today with boldness in your heart
