NO NEED TO BEG
(Make Decrees Like A King)
Don’t beg for things when you pray. Instead, decree things and give commands like the king that you are.
To The Bible Revelation 1:5-6
“And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
LET’S TALK
Every night before Jimmy goes to bed, he prays like this: “Dear Lord, I’m sorry for everything I did wrong today, consciously or unconsciously. Please forgive me. Please give me a good night’s rest and help me wake up in the morning, if it’s your will. Amen.” This may sound like a nice, humble, and repentant prayer, but it’s the wrong way to pray. Your prayer times shouldn’t be times to plead and pine away. They should be times of fellowship with the Lord, when you bring your requests before Him with thanksgiving.
God doesn’t want you begging Him for anything! In Revelation 1:6, He says He’s made us kings, and kings don’t beg. So as a king, you’re not supposed to pray like a beggar; that’s unacceptable to God.
The Bible says, “You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways” (Job 22:28 AMP). Kings make decrees and proclamations and have them established. This means when you pray, don’t beg; rather, make decrees as a king would and you’ll have whatever you say. Begin to develop the mentality of a king and only then can you take possession of all that belongs to you in Christ Jesus.

RELATE: Speak
I’m a king, and I reign in life as one. I refuse to think, talk, or act in a beggarly way in anything. As I study the Word of God, I continually grow and mature spiritually, and enjoy all that God has made available to me.
Act
Make decrees and give commands as a king in your prayers today.
