(How To Experience The Good Life)
TO THE BIBLE: Job 22:21
“Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.”
LET’S TALK
Some people don’t know how to get their lives in the right direction because they don’t practise God’s Word. They want everything that God gives, but they don’t want Him, the Giver. They want to have peace but they don’t want the Prince of peace. That’s why the scripture above is so profound because it tells you what to do in order to experience the good life. Paraphrased, it says, when you acquaint yourself with the Lord, prosperity will come to you.
The more you get yourself acquainted with the Father, the more you know His will, and His purpose becomes fulfilled in your life. The secret is in your acquaintance with Him through the Word and prayer. Learn to talk to Him every day. Don’t be like some Christians who only talk to the Father when they’re in need; they make Him the God of their needs; that’s wrong.
God is big! There’s nothing He can’t do for you. The things you ask Him for are so insignificant that, in heaven, they’re not even recognised as miracles. They are things you wouldn’t necessarily have to pray about, if you would only know the Lord as intimately as you would a best friend: they would effortlessly be delivered into your hands as a result of your acquaintance.
When you’re acquainted with Him, you enjoy everything that belongs to Him because you live in the throne room. That’s where I live, and that’s why I don’t ever have to ask the Lord for anything for myself. When I pray, I only ask to know Him more; that’s my desire – greater acquaintance with Him – for He already said all things are mine (1 Corinthians 3:21). So, in your life, get acquainted with the Lord through the Word and prayer, for that way, you’ll enjoy everlasting success and prosperity.

Pray
Dear Lord God, my greatest desire in life is to know you more each day. I ask that you’ll satisfy this craving of my heart daily, even as I live to love and know you more every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
