“Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.”
LET’S TALK
The law of sin and death is the law at work in every man or woman, boy or girl who isn’t born again; it permits sickness, and when sickness comes into a body, death actually sets in and starts destroying it, no matter how slowly. But when you understand what Jesus has done for you, things become different. This is the reason for the Gospel; it says the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death. It’s not about to make you free; it has already made you free. Hallelujah!
You’ve been made free from sin and death! That’s what happened to you when you received Jesus Christ as Lord of your life. You’ll not enjoy this freedom in Christ until you know you’re free and function with that consciousness (John 8:32). That’s why God’s Word tells you exactly what has taken place in your life, so you can take advantage of it. It tells you to “…Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again” (Galatians 5:1 GNB).
Your daily confession should be: “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Remember, by your words, you’re either condemned or justified (Matthew 12:37). Now that you’ve seen that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death, believe and confess it. This is the way to remain in the freedom that Christ has given to you.
