JUST LIKE JESUS
(Choose To Live Like The Master)
TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 5:1 TLB
“Follow God’s example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father”
LET’S TALK
A long time ago, I made up my mind to be like Jesus in everything, because He’s my Hero. I copy Him, because He’s the One I choose to be like. Think about this: Jesus touched lepers, and instead of being infected with their chronic disease, His touch healed and cleansed them! This was unacceptable to the Pharisees, Sadducees, and doctors of the Law of His day; in their religiosity, they kept away from lepers and taught the people to do likewise.
To be a Christian doesn’t mean walking on tiptoe, acting all weird and religious. It means to be like Christ. A Christian has an attitude of dominion over sin, darkness, disease, and infirmity. He lays his hands on the sick and they recover (Mark 16:16-18). This is the life of righteousness!
The Pharisees wore long robes and practiced religion to the letter, but they had no power. Jesus wasn’t a “religious” person, but He had power. He came to set the captives free. He came to show us who the Father is, and how to live holy lives. He didn’t just go into sinners’ homes to dine with them; He forgave them their sins and saved them. What a man Jesus was! I prefer to be like Him. What about you?

Pray
Father, you’ve given me the power to do your works and to get your kind of results. I trust in the power of your Spirit who works in me mightily, enabling me to bring forth fruits of righteousness in an ever- increasing measure. My life will never be barren but full of things that are pleasing to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
