“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.”

When I started reaching out with the Gospel and organising crusades as a teenager, I faced different kinds of challenges. For instance, my parents, even though they were Christians, were initially uncomfortable with the way and manner I went about preaching. It was all strange to them. In addition, I had the challenge of putting my academics alongside my evangelism. During the holidays, I would go out organising outreaches in different villages and communities. Nonetheless, I excelled in all my schoolwork. The Holy Spirit was the secret of my success, and He still is today.
If you have a dream that God put in your heart, understand that challenges will certainly come your way, but don’t be disheartened by them. Only yield yourself to the Holy Spirit, for He’s your helper. While you deal with the challenges, focus on your dream. Nurture it and never allow it to slip away. The pressure of appropriating your time rightly and dealing with some initial trials may occur, but don’t let them steal away your dream.

I thank you, dear Father, for your precious Holy Spirit who lives in me and goes with me always. I’m endued with strength and wisdom to pursue the dream you put in my heart, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
