DON’T EAT YOUR SEED!
(Make A Move: Sow A Seed)
? Pastor Chris Oyakhilome;
? TO THE BIBLE
Genesis 8:22 MSG “For as long as Earth lasts, planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never stop.”
◀️ LET’S TALK
The seed principle found in Genesis 8:22 applies to everything about life. God introduced Abraham to this principle when He called him and said, “I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered” (Genesis 13:16 KJV).
Now, observe what the Lord did afterwards. First, He gave Abraham a son, Isaac; then on a certain day, He instructed Abraham to go offer Isaac as a burnt offering (Genesis 22:1-2). Abraham obeyed and proceeded to offer his only son to God. The Bible says he did this, “Concluding that God was able to raise him (Isaac) up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense” (Hebrews 11:19).
This shows that Abraham believed in the seed principle; he knew that the seed had to die to produce a harvest. Jesus alluded to this in John 12:24 AMPC, where He said, “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.” In other words, except you sow your seed, you have no basis to expect a harvest.
Even God’s entire plan of salvation is hinged on this same seed principle. That’s why He gave His Son, Jesus, so He could reap a harvest of many children (Hebrews 2:10). Jesus was the Seed, while we are the harvest! You can’t reap without sowing; this is the seed principle of the Kingdom. Depending on the kind of harvest you want to reap, sow your seed according to the Word, and the Lord will multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

? Pray
Dear Father, I’m so glad to be a partaker of your glorious wisdom! Your Word has shown me the way to live in abundance through the seed-principle of faith. I thank you for the results I get from putting this principle to work in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
