CHANGE THE OLD ORDER
(It’s Time For Some Personal Changes)
TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 43:18-19 CEV
“Forget what happened long ago! Don’t think about the past. I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it?…”
LET’S TALK
From time to time, it’s important to check the way things have been going with you and determine what areas you’d need to do things differently. You can’t keep doing the same things you’ve been doing, in the same way you’ve been doing them and expect different results. You need to make changes where necessary.
That’s how our loving God is too. When He gave the Israelites laws to follow, they couldn’t keep them: in fact they ran away from Him in fear as He thundered His commands! The law wasn’t effective in restoring them to Him, so He did something different by sending His Son to die for mankind (John 3:16). He changed the order by sending His Son, and won us over with love, hallelujah! So, get this straight today, if you want something different from what you’re experiencing now, you’ve got to take some radical steps and do things differently.
You’ve got to change the old way of thinking and employ new ideas. Perhaps at school, you’ve been noted as being an unpunctual student, and you’re expecting your grades to meet up with the guy who’s always acing the class. First, you’d have to change your old activities.Start practising getting to school early; learn to sit down, finish your daily tasks in time and excellently. In other areas, review the way things have been, and determine the areas in which you’d make changes. Be specific; list them out and prayerfully take the new steps required.
GO DEEPER
Proverbs 22:29
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Isaiah 43:18
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
PRAY
Dear Father, I ask that you help me identify those areas where I must make definite changes, so I might chart a new course of success for my life. I commit myself to diligently following through with the decisions and plans you inspire me to make today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
