BRAG ABOUT HIS SUFFICIENCY
(Boast About The Abilities of Christ in You)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 3:5 AMP C “Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
As God’s child, who’s full of the Holy Spirit, the power that’s at work in you is divine; it’s got nothing to do with how physically gifted or naturally intelligent you are. The reason you can do anything, be anything, and prosper in whatever you do is the ability of Christ in you. He’s the power at work in you. Philippians 2:13 MSG says, “That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.”
In 1 Samuel 17, the Bible shows us how David trounced Goliath of Gath and put the Philistine armies to flight. David didn’t take on Goliath just because he had previously killed a bear and a lion, but because he was conscious of God’s ability that was at work in him. That’s why instead of boasting to Goliath about those feats, David declared, “…You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied” (1 Samuel 17:45).
When you’re faced with any task, don’t say, “I can’t do this,” even if it’s something you’re not naturally gifted for. Understand that by the Holy Spirit, you can do all things! Become conscious of this reality. Always declare, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Christ in you is your strength for success and your assurance of victory in the face of adversity.
Christ in you is everything! His presence in you makes you supernatural. When you face oppositions, you’re not to rely on or boast in your ability, but in the life of Christ within. Make up your mind to live triumphantly every day, and do big things for the Lord, for He’s granted you the ability of Christ. Hallelujah!
Invite everyone.
