ALIGNED WITH GOD’S WISDOM
(Speak From The Level Of Divine Wisdom)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 3:1
“And I brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.”
LET’S TALK
Ever read the story of Lazarus whom Jesus raised from the dead? Well, before he died, his sisters had sent a message to Jesus that His dear friend was deathly sick. When Jesus heard this, He remained where He was for two more days, then told His disciples, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up” (John 11:11). By this time Lazarus was already dead, but Jesus didn’t call Him dead. However, His disciples didn’t understand His spiritual communication and replied Him: “Lord, if he sleeps he will get better.” So Jesus had to speak to them plainly and say, “Lazarus is dead.”
As you grow spiritually, you’ll find it increasingly difficult to communicate with those who aren’t as spiritually enlightened as you. If you felt a headache, for example, you wouldn’t say, “I have a headache.” Yet, the unenlightened Christian sees nothing wrong with talking that way. Truth is, when you say you’ve got a headache, you’ve claimed it. But you aren’t supposed to claim what isn’t from God. Yes, you might feel the pain, but use the Word against it, and it’ll pass out of your body.
The life you’re living “today” was crafted by the words you spoke “yesterday,” and what your life will be in years to come will be determined by the words you speak today. So if you want a glorious life, then say only what God says about you. Practices making your talk align with His Word, and not your sensory perceptions.
