TO THE BIBLE: Ephesians 1:17-18 AMP
“[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you….”
LET’S TALK
Christianity is neither an assumption nor a speculation. It deals with truths—absolutes—and not guesswork. As a Christian, you’ve got to know God’s truth for yourself, and His truth is reality! It’s called absolute knowledge—the “epignosis” of God. At the realm of His truth, all doubts are dissolved; revelation is imparted to your spirit, and you just “know.” For example, you weren’t there when Jesus Christ was born, but you believe and are fully assured that He was born of a virgin! This truth is eternally lodged in your spirit, and you know it! That’s the same way that you know He’s the Son of God!
Furthermore, you don’t have any doubts about His death and resurrection from the dead! God raised Him from the dead, and you can affirm that, not because you were there when it happened, but because the knowledge has been granted you. You’re not struggling to believe it. You’ve passed from “believing” to living with a certain mindset regarding these truths. When you believed, eternal life was imparted to your spirit, and you were awakened to the fatherhood of God! But since then, you’ve moved from being a “believer” to a “knower” and a “haver.”
In Christianity, you’ve been brought into the arena of reality; a divine knowledge! No wonder the Apostle Paul prays that God “…may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him” (Ephesians 1:17 AMP). He wants the truth of your origin and inheritance in Christ Jesus and your oneness with Him to flood your heart and inundate your mind. And that isn’t religion, but absolute reality by which you must live!

Dear Father, I believe in your Son, Jesus, whom you sent to take away the sins of the world. I believe with all my heart that He was raised from the dead, for my justification. I’ve got eternal life in my spirit; your glory fills my heart, and it’s revealed through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
