A SUDDEN RUSH OF SUCCESS

It took Evans quite some while to grasp a good understanding of Physics as it seemed a difficult subject to crack. Whenever Mr Pierre, his Physics lecturer, walked into class, Evans’ limited mind couldn’t handle all of the postulated theories and the various equations derived by Mr Pierre by them. Yet, with all difficulty he faced, Evans wanted to delve further into Physics. Thankfully, he had learned in church that if he meditated on God’s Word, he would have good success in all he did. He gave it a go, and in two weeks, he was offering Physics lessons to other classmates, a subject that was previously an enigma to him.
In our opening verse, the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul lets us know what meditating on God’s Word does for you: it causes your prosperity and success to spread abroad; burst forth. Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” This shows the Word propels your advancement.
The key isn’t just having the Word in your heart or the pages of the Bible but in your mouth. You speak it forth and it brings prosperity into your life. When you study the Hebrew structure of the latter part of Joshua 1:8, you’d observe that the portion where it says “…you will make your way prosperous…” actually means “to burst forth with prosperity!”
What it describes is a sudden gush, like the rushing of a flood breaking through a barrier with so much power. That’s the kind of prosperity and success you’ll experience if you’d meditate on, inundate your spirit with God’s Word. You’d burst forth into prosperity with such power that nothing can hold back.
