Believe it or not, you’re today what you said yesterday. Your present position in life is the result of your mouth-work.

LET’S TALK

Some Christians wonder why things in their lives don’t seem to align with the wonderful blessings and provisions the Gospel provides, even though they’ve been born again for many years.

They’re always broke and sick, and constantly complaining. The reason for their plight isn’t far-fetched–they haven’t learnt to control their lives with their tongue.

You can be anything you want to be, have anything you want to have, and achieve anything you want to achieve if you’d only control the way you talk. Let your speech be regulated by God’s Word. If it’s not the Word, then don’t say it! What you say consistently rules your life, so choose today to speak the right words only–words that are consistent with God’s Word.

Believe it or not, who and what you are today is a result of what you said yesterday. What you say is what you get! So don’t say, “Well, I was only joking; I didn’t quite mean it!” Good or bad, you’ll have what you say-whether or not you meant it.

That’s why I tell people, “Say what you mean, and mean what you say”; never joke against the Word. Psalm 12:4 says, “With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own…,” letting you know that you’re to regulate your life with your tongue.
