A LIFE OF EXCITEMENT!
(Christ In You: Your Reason To Rejoice)
TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 4:7
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
The Bible records how Samson overcame a thousand trained soldiers with a donkey’s jawbone (Judges 15:16). David killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands (1 Samuel 17:34-35). And when the Israelites were hemmed in between the Red Sea and the charging Egyptian army, Moses stretched his hand over the sea and it split wide open for the Israelites to walk through.
How inspiring to know that the same Spirit that worked with these people, as well as in the Lord Jesus and the apostles, is working in you today! More interestingly, you’re even better off, because, like Jesus, you have the fullness of the Spirit. The Bible says, “And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]…” (Colossians 2:10 AMPC).
This is why I tell people Christianity isn’t a religion at all. It’s a living, pulsating life of Christ in a human person. It’s divinity at work in humanity. When I made this discovery as a young lad, I got so excited about Jesus. I discovered that the Word of God is living and active, and that the Holy Spirit was more than an influence. You can live a life of victory, success, perfection and excellence by the same Spirit.
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that has brought to me today the reality of the divine life I have. I live a joyful, exciting, and glorious life in absolute liberty and mastery over satan and all circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
