(Enjoy Rich Fellowship With The Lord)
TO THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 1:9
“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
To enjoy fellowship with someone, you’ve got to communicate with that person. In other words, you’ve got to be in constant touch with him or her each day. It’s the same with your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Now that you’re born again, you need to have fellowship with Him, and you should be willing to spend quality time with Him every day.
Your fellowship with the Lord is unique. That’s because He doesn’t have, has never had, and will never have another one just like you. He cherishes your fellowship and loves talking with you. You’re His partner, and a friend to Him in a way nobody else in the world can be. As for me, I want to be His very good friend. I want the Lord Jesus to smile each time He thinks about me. That means more to me than anything else in the world!
So, I encourage you to have a closer walk with Jesus from now to December. Make Him your closest pal. Your times of personal Bible study, prayer, worship, and praise will help develop your fellowship with Him, so take them seriously. As you do this, you’ll discover that the more you relate with Him through His Word and the Spirit, the more you’ll get to know Him and become more like Him.
Genesis 5:24, James 2:23
Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing me into fellowship with your Son, Jesus Christ. I enjoy a deeper and richer fellowship with Jesus every day of my life. Amen.
