THE REVELATION OF JESUS
(Life Is All About The Lord Jesus)
TO THE BIBLE
John 20:30-31
“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name”
LET’S TALK
What is called the Bible today is the compilation of various writings by prophets and apostles of old, who wrote as they were inspired by the Spirit of God. It’s also interesting to note that many of these writers actually lived in different generations. However, John lets us know in our opening scripture that their sacred writings have been put together for the sole purpose of revealing Jesus as the Christ, and so that every person may believe in Him and receive salvation.
Many other interesting accounts may have been written by the prophets and apostles, but which weren’t included in today’s Bible text. The reason is that God only wanted the Bible to point everyone to Jesus Christ. This is the aim of the Scriptures. It portrays how He was promised and depicted in various types and shadows until He was finally revealed. In John 14:6, Jesus Himself said, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
It’s all about Jesus. The entire universe and everything God made revolve around Him. Therefore, be bold to tell people about Him. There’s nothing as important as leading others to Christ; soul-winning is God’s number one job.
GO DEEPER
John 21:25
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Mark 14:61
But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
PRAY
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the Bible; and I praise you, O Lord, for the great sacrifice you made in sending your Son Jesus to die for my sins. Through His resurrection, I have received the divine life, and I’m in fellowship with you now. I live for Jesus every single day of my life. My life is all for Him, and all about Him.
