“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
LET’S TALK
In today’s world, some believe that the only way to right wrongs in the society is by being restive and griping violently in public. This is wrong. We’ve got to learn the value and process of non-violent protests and how to influence decisions for good. God has given you His divine power to cause the changes you desire (Acts 1:8), and He wants you to wisely present your contributions to those in positions of authority to get the desired results.
Some years ago, a certain musician gathered world leaders together to make a decision. He wasn’t a president; he wasn’t even a politician, yet he was able to pull this off. How? He’d recognised himself as somebody special and took advantage of it. That’s the way you ought to think; see yourself as a special person, a young man or woman of influence that can effect a change. You have what it takes to make all the required difference in your country.
From where you are, for example, you can write—essays, brilliant articles, and social media posts—anything constructive that can make a difference. History is replete with stories of people who inspired revolutions through their writings. This doesn’t mean writing malicious things about people just to berate them, but penning constructive suggestions that can improve your society and country as a whole. From where you are, you can influence major decisions, so don’t hold back.
Let no one intimidate you. Rather, think like Esther, who through her position of influence discreetly presented her case before the King, and by so doing, delivered the children of Israel from annihilation (Esther 4-5). By acting this way, you’ll not only stand for the common good of others, but will also be an inspiring godly example for others to follow.

PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you for granting me the wisdom, inspiration, motivation and ability to conceive and execute divine ideas that’ll make my country a better place. I thank you for making me a blesser and a giver, for you’ve granted me the grace to lift others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
