IF GOD SAID IT, IT’S A DEAL
“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
God’s Word is forever settled in heaven. His words are yea and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). Isaiah 55:10-11 also throws more light on the power and infallibility of God’s Word: “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, …So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Knowing that God’s Word isn’t void of power and is forever settled in heaven, what you need is to personalize it and apply it in your life. Maybe you woke up one morning and suddenly discovered a growth in your body, you ought to act your faith and command the growth to disappear. This was what Abraham did that was pleasing in the sight of God. The Bible says “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:” (Romans 4:18-20).
Abraham glorified God for His Word and told everybody his name was no longer Abram (exalted or assumed father), but Abraham, which meant “father of many.”
Those who heard him must have laughed him to scorn and asked, “So where are the children?” But as far he was concerned, God had said it; therefore, it was a done deal. He was already “father of many.”
Find out what God has said about you and speak the same thing in faith, for His Word is sure to produce what it talks about.
