(Become A Child Of God Today)
TO THE BIBLE: John 1:12-13
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
LET’S TALK
When you’re born again, it means you’re born of God and He has become your Father. Galatians 4:6 says, “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”” However, if you aren’t born again, you can’t call God “Father.”
You may ask, “Pastor Chris, are you then saying that if one isn’t born again, he’s not a child of God?” Emphatically yes! 1 John 3:10 (KJV) says, “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil…,” letting us know that there’re only two groups. You either belong to one or the other.
Perhaps, you’re reading this today and you aren’t born again, but you want God to be your Father; all you need to do is say, “O Lord God, I come to you today in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life, and believe that God raised Him from the dead. By my faith in His Name, I receive eternal life into my spirit. I declare that I am born again. Thank you for my new life in Christ Jesus. Amen.”
