How do you feel when you think about the fact that there are still many people around the world who haven’t yet known Jesus as Lord of their lives? If you’d look around in your neighbourhood, you’d find there’re yet many young people who haven’t received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. They belong in your world, and you can’t afford to be quiet with the Gospel: You can make a huge difference right where you are.
As a Christian, however, it’s important for you to realise that the dark, complex events in the world today are actually the fulfilment of Scripture. Isaiah 60:2 tells us, “For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you” (NASB). The more darkness there is in the world, the greater your opportunity to shine as a light in the midst of a perverse generation (Philippians 2:15).
In these perplexing times, you’re God’s point man or woman for the hour, and you ought to preach the liberating Word of God with great fervency in your world. Commit yourself to spreading the Gospel as though it depended on you alone to tell it to the whole world. Intercede for lost souls, and pray for ministers of the Gospel around the world, that they may achieve greater results in their evangelical efforts. Remember, the Gospel is God’s only saving power for all humanity.

I thank you, dear Lord, for making me a soul-winner in my world. I function in your strength and wisdom as I reach out to the lost and unconverted in my world. I pray also for a harvest of souls in all Asia, Africa, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas, as Christians in these regions carry out evangelical work, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
