(God’s Kingdom Has Been Set Up Within You)

TO THE BIBLE: Luke 17:20-21
“Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.””
LET’S TALK
Have you heard some people pray, “Lord, let your Kingdom come?“ Well, that’s not accurate prayer, because His Kingdom is here already! In teaching the disciples how to pray, the Lord Jesus only gave them a format when He said, “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth…” (Matthew 6:9-10). He taught them to pray with expectation of the coming Kingdom of God, because, at the time, He hadn’t been crucified, and the world was being dominated by satan and his kingdom of darkness. However, after Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, when He met His disciples, His message to them changed. He said, “…All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…” (Matthew 28:18-19).
All the authority in the universe is now and forever vested in Jesus, and He has given us that authority as representatives of His Kingdom. You’re to manifest His Kingdom to the world, for the Kingdom is within you. There’s no need to pray for the Kingdom to come anymore; that prayer has been answered in us—the new creation.
If you’re born again, you’ve become the carrier of the Kingdom of God. When you get to any place, God’s Kingdom arrives there as well, because you’re His living temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). For as many of us that love the Master, He has set up His headquarters in our hearts (John 14:23). Now that you’re a Kingdom-carrier, don’t allow the devil run things around you. You’ve been given the highest authority in the universe—the Name of Jesus. Use it to rule over the devil and every negative circumstance.
