THEY THAT OBSERVE LYING VANITIES FORSAKE THIER OWN MERCY.

To The Bible: Jonah 2:8 KJV

“They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.”

LET’S TALK

Ever since she was born, Phoebe suffered an ailment that made her self-conscious and a frequent hospital patient. According to her doctors, it was a rare incurable skin disease. One day, however, while watching a Christian TV program at home, she miraculously received her healing. She was overjoyed and grateful to God. Two months later, she felt symptoms of the same ailment. Confused, she thought aloud to herself, “I got healed some months back, why have the symptoms returned?”

Like Phoebe, you may think that since you’ve received a healing miracle, the symptoms will never return. You’ve got to realise that even if the symptoms show up again, it makes no difference, because they’re lying vanities and false. The truth is, Satan is never happy at your miracle so he throws the symptoms at you just to make you question the authenticity of God’s Word.

Remember, that Satan also questioned Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11) regarding what God had said about Him (Matthew 3:17). So, instead of worrying about the symptoms of an ailment that no longer exists in your body, stand on God’s Word and declare your health. Load your spirit with the Word so that whether the symptoms return or not, you remain unshakable!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the victory I have in your Word. I refuse to observe lying vanities, but choose to trust in your Word, for it causes me to triumph in every situation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
